Steve has significant and diverse experience in all facets of medical devices, including product design and enhancement, process and manufacturing engineering, team building, finance, sales and marketing, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance. Steve holds a B.A. from Baylor University.
Donald O'Rourke MD
Co-Founder and Chief Medical Consultant
Associate Professor of Neurosurgery, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine as well as Director of the Human Brain Tumor Tissue Bank. Dr. O'Rourke has been treating Glioblastoma patients for over twenty-five years. He formerly Co-Founded Alteris Therapeutics, as well as holds several issued patents. Dr. O'Rourke holds an A.B. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University (Magna Cum Laude), an M.A. (Arts) University of Pennsylvania, and an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Louise C. Showe, Ph.D.
Scientific Advisory Board and Chief Science Consultant
Dr. Showe received her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Wilkes College (PA) and her Master’s in developmental biology from Temple University. After gaining her Ph.D. in biology from the University of Pennsylvania, she moved to Europe to do her postdoctoral studies at the Biozentrum der Universitat, Basel, Switzerland. Dr. Showe joined The Wistar Institute in 1983 as an assistant professor. She is presently a Professor in the Molecular and Cellular Oncogenesis program and the Scientific Director of the The Wistar Bioinformatics and Genomics Shared Resources. She is also the associate director of the The Wistar Center for Systems and Computational Biology. Showe was awarded one of the first ten National Cancer Institute Director’s Challenge grants to create new molecular criteria for the classification of cancers using microarrays and is presently funded by the Early Detection Research Network (EDRN) to continue this work.
